The 11th Annual Lauren Tenney
Memorial Golf Tournament
On October 22 & 23, 2023
At Bentwater Yacht and Country Club
For those of you who do not know, Vascular Ehlers Danlos (VEDS) is the condition that largely contributed to Lauren's death and was passed on to her son, Andy, when he was born. In past years, our little tournament has donated more to our chosen VEDS charities than anyone else. We so want to make it so no one has to lose a loved one because there was not enough research on treatment or common knowledge of the signs of VEDS. We are so lucky to fill our tournament and dinners each year with such generous friends, while having a competitive tournament and lots of fun in Lauren's name.
Tournament Details
Our tournament will be the same as in year's past. A two-day, two-person scramble.

Sign up early! In the past few years we have had a long waiting list! Please check back with us in mid-June for more information.

If you'd like to be a volunteer, or if you have any questions, please call Carol at (936)520-9330 or email us at tenneygolf@gmail.com.
Lauren's Legacy
Lauren was the intelligent, beautiful, and kind daughter of Steve and Carol Ovelgonne, Lauren grew up in Texas and was a summa cum laude graduate of OSU. She was an excellent athlete and had little or no signs of being ill until the day before her death at 26 years while giving birth to Andy. She would be so proud of Andy and the way her parents, brother Jimmy and husband Drew have cemented her legacy.
Lauren's Legacy lives on annually in this tournament played by co-workers, family members, former teammates, and new friends.
Lauren's legacy lives through the dozens of scholarships awarded in her name to Montgomery High School seniors.
Lauren's legacy lives on through the vEDS Research checks awarded to Dr. Shaine Morris long with the vEDS Collaborative ensuring children and adults will one day receive treatment and eventually a cure for vascular Ehlers Danlos Sydrome.

Lauren is changing the world for both her local family AND for families either sending their children to college or navigating the blind journey of vEDS.
Thank you for sponsoring, donating, playing in the tournament, volunteering, and honoring Lauren's Legacy.
